Richard Cockerill says Leicester Tigers face a "big start" to the European Champions Cup campaign with French champions Stade Francais heading to Welford Road in November.Fixture dates and times have been revealed by tournament organisers EPCR, handing Tigers a home start on Friday, November 13 against a Stade side who lifted the Top 14 title at the end of 2014/15.
Tigers and Stade also face two-time European champions Munster and Italian side Benetton Treviso in Pool 4.
“Playing against Stade first is a big start, but it is the European Champions Cup so that is what you expect,” said Tigers director of rugby Cockerill
“There are tough pools throughout the tournament. We start with Stade on what should be another huge European night at Welford Road, then Treviso away before Munster back to back.
“The clubs are all in the same boat with a lot of players at the World Cup and a lot to do before we get into the Champions Cup. But we’ll be looking forward to it.
“We’ve got some big games for the supporters and the players to look forward to at Welford Road and that is what the club is all about.”
Pool fixtures in the Champions Cup are included in Tigers season tickets. For season ticket information contact the Tigers ticket office of click here. Match ticket details will be released soon.
