Biggest attendance of season this Saturday

Welford Road will welcome its biggest attendance of the 2018/19 Gallagher Premiership season as Leicester Tigers take on local rivals Wasps (Saturday, March 2, 3.00pm).

A gate of more than 24,000 is expected to attend the game in which Tigers supporters will be hoping for a repeat of last year’s 16-15 home victory over the visitors almost twelve months ago.

Tigers most attended game so far this season saw more than 21,500 fans watch Tigers' 35 – 24 win over Harlequins back in December 2018, as the club hosts its first home fixture for six weeks.

Tigers have only lost once to Wasps at Welford Road since 2008 and will see Geordan’s side out for revenge after Wasps narrowly edged the season’s earlier showdown 41-35 against the 14-man Tigers.

There is plenty for fans to enjoy before and after the rugby with live music, the Junior Tigers Club in the Final Whistle as well as the Prima Tiger Cup U10s festival after the first team game.
