Wales and Lions captain Sam Warburton and fellow senior internationals Matthew Rees and Adam Jones are included in the Cardiff Blues squad for tonight's pre-season fixture against Leicester Tigers at Welford Road (7.30pm).
Back-rower Warburton is part of the Blues’ 34-man squad for the final pre-season fixture before the start of the league programmes next weekend.
Cardiff-born Warburton was named captain of the British & Irish Lions for the victorious tour to Australia in 2013 and led Wales at the 2011 Rugby World Cup as well as in the Six Nations Championship. But he has not played for the Blues in their pre-season programme so far.
Blues director of rugby Mark Hammett could give a first appearance for the club to tighthead prop Jones, another Lions cap, and fellow summer signings Josh Turnbull and Adam Thomas.
