Leicester Tigers rugby courses return for the Easter holidays with coaches from the Guinness Premiership champions holding camps at Market Harborough and Market Bosworth rugby clubs.

And Tigers stars including James Grindal, Jeremy Staunton and Billy Twelvetrees are set to drop-in to offer their advice to the young players and take part in a question and answer session.

The courses run from Tuesday, April 6 to Friday, April 9 and a limited number of places are available.

Matt Williams, Tigers senior rugby development officer, said: "It will be a great way for children to round off the season. It will provide a real focus on their core skills that they can then take forward in to next season."

Tigers great Ian "Dosser" Smith, who made 331 appearances for Tigers and captained the club in the mid-1980s and was head coach, will lead the Market Harborough course. Former Tigers hooker Troy Thacker will lead the course at Market Bosworth.

Williams added: "We aim to give young players the chance to learn at first hand from some of our best coaches the skills and techniques needed to improve as a player and, hopefully, to maximise their potential.

"Most of the theory and practical coaching sessions we will deliver come straight from Tigers' Oval Park training ground."

Tigers Rugby Courses are for children playing contact rugby from under-nines through to under-16s. Every player who attends the course will receive a free ticket to a Tigers first-team game at Welford Road. They will also receive a Tigers Rugby Course T-shirt, rugby ball and drinks bottle as well as a hot healthy lunch each day and a personal assessment and feedback form.
