Tom Brady has set his sights on pushing for a return to first-team action after his try-scoring appearance for the Leicester Tigers Development XV.
Winger Brady scored the opening try of the 42-7 victory over Worcester Cavaliers in the Premiership ‘A’ League, just three minutes into his return from an ankle injury sustained in pre-season.
Brady said: “In the first ten minutes I ended up getting a couple of sprints in me and my lungs were screaming.
“I really enjoyed it, sticking the boots on and being back out at Welford Road to have a run out with the lads.
“I’m feeling good, feeling strong and hitting PBs in the gym while being looked after well by all the strength and conditioning, and medical staff. I probably owe them a pint or two.
“I want to push back in to the first team. I’ve had enough of holding tackle bags, since coming back from injury, and I really want to push to get back in to first team and pick up that form which I finished last season with.”
