Bring the family to Tigers In The Park

Figure image
Kick off the new season with activities and attractions for the whole family at Tigers in the Park next Saturday (October 19) when Leicester Tigers return home for a Kings of the North match against Newcastle Falcons. The action on the pitch starts at 3pm, but Tigers In The Park is open from 10am on Nelson Mandela Stadium opposite the stadium. That's five hours of free entertainment for the whole family. This is the fourth year of Tigers in The Park and to coincide with the opening home fixture in the Kings of the North tournament, this year we are bringing in a medieval theme.   Attractions include falconry and sword fighting, courtesy of Knights of Middle England, while Tigers club mascot Welford (in his knight’s attire) will be encouraging fans to have a go at jousting and archery. We’re installing stocks for public entertainment, plus a host of other activities on the park and the main stage.  The fans’ food court will be back for picnics on the park and there will be player appearances throughout the day.   Young supporters have a chance to experience the magic of running out on the Welford Road pitch as part of the Junior Tigers Club activities on the day.   We'll be adding more to the programme so look out for updates on the Tigers club website and social media channels this week. Tigers in the Park is also the official matchday of the Rik Basra Leukemia campaign, an official club charity for 2015/16. You can re-live some of the fun from last summer in our Tigers In The Park gallery by clicking here.   Match tickets for Tigers versus Newcastle Falcons - and all other home games in 2015/16 - are available now.
