Joe Browning has been included in the England men’s squad for the Toulouse Sevens tournament next weekend.
Leicester Tigers Academy graduate Browning made his Tigers debut this season while also playing on loan with Nottingham and gaining his first international sevens experience.
The club also announced he is among a group of Senior Academy players who have agreed new terms with the Tigers beyond the end of his season.
England Sevens head coach Tony Roques said: “There have been some really tough selection calls and I’m pleased with the balance of the team and really excited to see how they go.
“We’ve worked hard on areas we feel we need to improve on and can’t wait to get going on Friday.”
England open their tournament against Canada and Japan on Friday before facing Argentina on Saturday.
