Leicester Tigers Business Club, in partnership with Mattioli Woods, has become a permanent fixture of the last few seasons allowing businesses to grow, network and hear from guest speakers.
We’ve welcomed author and politician Lord Jeffrey Archer, TV’s Ant Middleton, Paralympian Sammi Kinghorn, TV presenter Clare Balding and former Leicester Tigers player Leon Lloyd.
Most recently, footballer-turned-pundit Chris Kamara joined us for our first-ever virtual event last month and in 2021, we’ll be welcoming sports promoter Barry Hearn and former heavyweight champion of the world David Haye.
But what do our Business Club members have to say about our events, and why do they continue to grow in popularity? He’s just a few of the kind words shared with us.
“I am a tad-biased but I thought it was excellent and really well compèred. I thought the tech was brilliant – we had a list internally of attendees but I don’t know whether others did. If they did, guests can arrange to meet on a table like you would in real life.”
“I have to say that I found it very enjoyable and easy to navigate. It was my first ever virtual networking meeting so wasn't sure what to expect but in my opinion, it was better than actually being in a room with everyone as you could hone in on the specific people you wanted to talk to.”
“I thought it was very good and the virtual platform and structure of the event was excellent – one of the best that I have seen over the last few months. Kammy was an excellent guest as well of course!”
“Thanks for a fab business club on Friday – I thought it was excellent. I loved the platform, it was so easy to use. The event was really well organised and so good to see familiar faces (and new ones too) after so long. Looking forward to the next one.”
Barry Hearn will be joining guests on Thursday, February 11 with David Haye scheduled to appear on Wednesday, April 14. Pending government restrictions, the club is hopeful that the event on April 14 will be able to function as a physical event at Mattioli Woods Welford Road.
