Tigers favourite George Chuter is the latest player to be inducted as an XV Club legend at Welford Road.Chuter made 290 appearances for the club from his debut against Gloucester in 2001 up to the end of the 2013/14 season, playing in a record seven Premiership finals.
The hooker shared in six league title wins and was part of the Tigers squad that reached four European finals, as well as winning 24 caps for England, including the Rugby World Cup Final in 2007.
Season ticket holders in the XV Club in the Goldsmiths Stand enjoyed their annual dinner ahead of kick-off in Saturday’s LV= Cup match against Northampton Saints and enjoyed a question-and-answer session with Scott Hamilton before welcoming Chuter.
He follows in the footsteps of Rory Underwood and Graham Rowntree as an XV Club Legend.
