Former Leicester Tigers centre Matt Cornwell is to re-join the club in the role of team manager.Cornwell, 30, is a former England Under-21s captain who spent two spells at Welford Road Tigers as a player.
He will start in his new position at the club this summer, following Jo Hollis as team manager.
As well as making 46 first-team appearances with Tigers, Cornwell played for Exeter Chiefs and Northampton Saints then had two spells with Mogliano in Italy and is currently playing for San Dona in the Italian championship.
Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill said: “Matt knows the club very well after growing up in the academy here to become a first-team player in two spells with Leicester. He has always been a proactive and driven individual, and we look forward to working with him in his new role.”
