Corry turns tables on reporter

Martin Corry swapped places with Sky Sports reporter Graham Simmons for a special feature on The Rugby Club this week.

The Tigers captain has had to face some tough questions from Simmons over the years, notably during his tenure as England skipper, but he made the most of an opportunity to get his own back.

Simmons was put in front of the camera as Corry arrived notebook in hand, research done in advance, and questioned him about his treatment of former England coach Andy Robinson and of players in the immediate aftermath of a game, and asked if Graham and colleague Stuart Barnes had a contest each week to get long words into their match reports.

Simmons did also get the opportunity to talk to Corry about Leicester’s season so far, especially with three successive league wins before this weekend’s trip to London Irish.

"There is an air of confidence about us," said Corry. "It is easy to say that on the back of three wins, but if we lose on Sunday we are back at square one."
