Both teams were welcomed onto the pitch with the loudest cheers they have ever heard. The noise around Welford Road carried on as Tigers chased the winning points as Ed Slater scored a try 4 minutes before the final whistle blew, bringing the final score to a draw 19-19.
The JTC was action packed, filled with new games and table activities. We had two Tigers Academy players Javiah Pohe & Pasqualle Dunn come down to join in the fun. As well as a guest from Tiger nation, Julian Matthews who ran a colouring in competition and announced the names of our new tiger cubs, click here for more information. Charlie Dowling was the lucky JTC mascot winner who joined the Crabtree brothers leading out the team with Toby Flood as team captain. We had some great tries from our Tiger cub winners William, Isobel, Alistair, Ellie and Danielle.
Our next match is Friday 18th, kick off 20:00 when Tigers welcome Benetton Treviso to Welford Road. The JTC VIP Area will be open from 18:00-19:45.
