Leicester Tigers legend George Chuter and county cricket hero Paul Nixon will host a charity music event starring amateur singers from across the county.

The L Factor is a live tribute show based on ITV’s X Factor and aims to raise money for The Lord’s Taverners and Warning Zone.

The event on March 27 will see singers from local businesses and the wider community perform at the O2 Academy in Leicester, including Tigers corporate sales executive Laura Partridge.

Laura says: “It is a privilege to be part of this year’s L Factor which is raising money for two brilliant Leicester charities.

“The team behind the scenes have been amazing and have worked really hard to pull the event together and I can guarantee it will be a great night.”

Their performances will be critiqued by a panel of judges before the winner is determined by a live audience vote.

Chuter and former England and Leicestershire cricketer compered last year’s event and return for a second time.

The team behind the L Factor have put together a video to promote the event, which includes footage filmed at Welford Road. Click here to watch the film
