Supported by Loughborough-based Prima Solutions, the Prima Tiger Cup is now in its 18th season and features four festivals around the Tigers region.
The competition will kick off at Mellish RFC in Nottingham on Sunday, October 30 before festivals at Lutterworth RFC on Sunday, November 6, Swaffham RFC on Sunday, November 13 and Stoke-on-Trent RFC on Sunday, November 20.
The winning teams from each festival will qualify for the knockout stages of the Prima Tiger Cup, which will be held at Welford Road before a first-team fixture. Tigers will also invite eight other clubs from the regional festivals to take part in the sister competition, the Prima Tiger Bowl, at Welford Road.
The festivals are great fun in their own right, with teams coming from all over the country to compete against each other. And even if you don’t reach the Welford Road quarter-finals, you’re sure to meet teams you don’t normally play during a season and develop friendships and contacts.
More than 50 teams entered last season’s competition with Oakham beating Coventry-based Old Coventrians in the final.
James Cooper, head coach of last season’s winners Oakham, described the Prima Tiger Cup as the “ultimate”.
"It was been a great competition and for our under-10s boys to play three times at Welford Road was fantastic."
