TigersLotto winner Mark Smyth says the Champions Cup clash with Munster Rugby at Thomond Park will be “an experience and a half”.

Mark and his wife Abigail won a money-cannot-buy prize to be at Saturday evening’s Pool 4 clash in Limerick on the TigersLotto Mega Draw.

The couple flew out with the team on their flight from East Midlands Airport to Shannon Airport on Friday afternoon, when they had the chance to talk to Tigers players and officials, including club captain Tom Youngs.

They were then transferred to Limerick, where they have a night’s accommodation and the chance to sample the pre-match atmosphere ahead of the big game on Saturday evening before traveling back with the team.

Mark said: “I’ve been to Limerick before but I haven’t been to the ground. That will be an experience and a half to go and watch a game at the infamous Munster ground.”

He added: “I was absolutely beside myself when I won. My decision was, knowing it was two seats, because I have two girls aged eight and 10 whom come to the ground every Saturday with me.

“I knew there was going to be a flip of the coin but mummy decided that the flip of the coin would be better for her, and she is here!”

Abigail added: “We’re really looking forward to the game. It should be a cracking atmosphere.”
