Eye on the Tigers in Test action

Leicester Tigers forwards Logovi'i Mulipola and Steve Mafi are both in international action this weekend.

Prop Mulipola has been selected among the replacements for Samoa in their Test match against Scotland in Apia on Saturday.

He played in all three Samoa victories on their way to picking up the Pacific Nations Cup title last weekend.

Clubmate Mafi, the Tigers Players’ Player of the Year, plays in the back row for Tonga in their match against Fiji which brings down the curtain on this year’s Pacific Nations tournament.

Mafi played in has played in each of Tonga’s previous games this summer, a 20-18 defeat by Samoa and a 24-20 victory over Japan, the 2011 Pacific Nations winners and this year’s hosts.

In the final weekend of the 2011/12 season, Leicester also have Dan Cole, Geoff Parling, Toby Flood, Manu Tuilagi and Thomas Waldrom in England’s line-up for the third Test against South Africa, and prop Martin Castrogiovanni captains Italy against the USA in Texas.
