Leicester Tigers’ official charity partner The Bridge Homelessness to Hope enjoyed a day of fundraising when Tigers beat Gloucester 34-16 in the Gallagher Premiership.

The club has four official charity partners who each have the opportunity to host a dedicated matchday throughout the year to help raise funds and awareness for their cause.

Volunteers from The Bridge Homelessness to Hope took part in a bucket collection during the game, which saw Tigers kick off 2019 with a victory at Welford Road.

Keith Lawson-West, Trustee at The Bridge Homelessness to Hope said: "The supporters of both sides in the stands and on the terraces were particularly generous.

“The monies raised equate to the cost of food that will enable 1,000 of the 16,000 meals we expect to serve during 2019.”

Members of Leicester Tigers Development squad recently visited the charity at their facility on Melton Street giving up their time to help serve meals to the homeless.
