Tigers will hold a residential rugby course at Bishop Burton College in East Yorkshire, starting on Monday.
The Academy will be on their summer camp at the college at the same time, giving young players on the course a chance to receive sessions from senior Academy coaches, learn from the next generation of Tigers players and feel part of the Tigers set-up.
A £2.9million Centre for Sport & Fitness is the focal point of the Bishop Burton College’s Sports Village which will host the Rugby Course and accommodate the players. The facilities include a state-of-the-art fitness suite, 4G artificial turf pitch and outdoor grass pitches and sports hall.
The Tigers first-team squad have used the college and its facilities this summer as part of their pre-season preparations.
This is the third year that Tigers have held a residential course at the college, and Scott Clarke, Tigers community manager, said: “We have run two residential courses at Bishop Burton College and they have been huge successes.
“It is fantastic to be there at the same time as the Academy, and will really give players on our rugby course a feel of what it would be like to spend a week as an elite rugby player."
“It is an outstanding opportunity for young and ambitious rugby players aged under-13 to under-18 who have aspirations to develop their game.
"Tigers coaches run a full week's coaching focussed on improving skills, game understanding and strength and conditioning.
"Players can expect to be pushed hard and it will be a great opportunity to see what it would be like to spend a week as an elite rugby player."
Tigers are also holding courses at Lutterworth and Kesteven rugby clubs next week and any player between nine and 16 playing contact rugby can attend.
Tigers Rugby Courses are supported by energy efficiency specialists Mark Group and are the only courses run by and endorsed by Leicester Tigers.
