The countdown to Heineken Cup Round 3 steps up a gear as the first Tigers supporters head for the Massif Central.
An influx of Tigers supporters helped to set a record attendance for Viadana on their last trip into Europe and the club’s red, white and green colours are sure to be prominent in the Stade Marcel Michelin on Sunday for the match against ASM Clermont Auvergne.
“It’s a lovely city and a lovely part of the world, I’m sure our supporters will enjoy going there,” said Tigers head coach Richard Cockerill who spent two years of his playing career in Clermont and returns this weekend.
“We’ll get excellent support there, as we do every game. It takes a big effort for supporters to get to these places but it is hugely appreciated by the players.”
Supporters will arrive in Clermont from a number of directions, including flights into Toulouse and Lyon, Eurostar and TGV trains, coach and car. The Tigers Travel Club coach departs at midnight on Friday for their trip into central France.
If you are travelling this weekend, check out all the information on the Clermont area by logging on to the tourist board website http://www.clermont-fd.com/

If you are staying at home, you can still follow all of the action. The game is covered by Sky Sports, kick-off is at 3pm UK time and will be shown live on the big screen in the Tiger Bar at Welford Road.
Or keep in touch via the club website at www.leicestertigers.com and Twitter www.twitter.com/leicesterrugby for the build-up, match action and reaction.
