Mascot Welford and the Tigers roadshow team will join an estimated 100,000 people at the Royal Norfolk Show this week.

Welford will join the Tigers roadshow vehicle, the Maul, at the Norfolk Showground near Norwich for the two-day event, which kicks off on Wednesday.

Tigers will link up with the RFU at the Show with the aim of helping to grow rugby in Norfolk.

Visitors will be able to meet Welford, have their photograph taken with the LV= Cup and pick up their free Tigers Family postcards. Click here to see what they look like.

Tigers will be hosting games for children at The Maul and linking up with local club Swaffham RFU.

Tigers will play their part in a real sporting feel at the Show, which will hold its 2012 Games, bringing sport, dance and performance to the Grand Ring on both days.

The Games – which take place at 2.55pm on Wednesday and 2.25pm on Thursday – will see flag bearers and dancers welcome local sporting heroes, official Olympic torch bearers and Norfolks Rising Stars into the ring.

Show Manager Sarah de Chair said: ‘We wanted to embrace the sporting fever of this summer and hosting our own Royal Norfolk Show Games will give visitors young and old the chance to enjoy spectacular sporting entertainment.”
