George Ford will lead England out against Wales at Twickenham on Sunday afternoon alongside Tigers team-mates Ellis Genge and Dan Cole, with fellow Leicester players Ben Youngs and Manu Tuilagi named among the replacements for the Quilter International.
Speaking ahead of the Rugby World Cup warm-up match, Ford was confident in the work the national squad had put in over the summer months.
"This week we've had some great preparation," Ford told England Rugby's O2 Inside Line.
"The beginning part of the week there has been a fair bit of learning and now we start to ramp things up to try and put that under pressure to make sure we're ready for the weekend.
"The main focus up until this point has been getting ready physically ... what we want to look like defensively and how we want to play with ball in hand."
In England's last outing at HQ, the Tigers fly-half came off the bench to save the national side from defeat against Scotland in the final fixture of the 2019 Six Nations and says he and his international team-mates were excited about being back in front of their fans.
"We can't wait to get back to Twickenham and play in front of our home crowd and hopefully put a great performance in," said Ford.
