Former heavyweight champion of the world David Haye will be joining guests at the club on April 14 for the third Business Club event of the 2020/21 season.
The club is working towards the first LIVE Business Club event since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic as the retired-boxer and pundit visits Mattioli Woods Welford Road on Wednesday April 14.
After conquering the cruiserweight division, Haye moved up to the heavyweight in 2008, winning winning the WBA title in 2009 after defeating the 7ft Nikolai Valuev. Haye is one of only two boxers in history to have unified the cruiserweight world titles and become a world heavyweight champion.
Pending the most recent government announcement expected later in February, Tigers will be able to host the event in a socially-distanced setting.
Strict social distancing procedures will be in place including temperature checks on arrival, track and trace sign up and social distancing measures. Guests will also have to wear face masks during the event, apart from when dining.
Held in partnership with club partner Mattioli Woods, Business Club membership is open to businesses of all sizes, with four events during the season providing an opportunity to hear from a variety of speakers.
Previous guests include author and politician Lord Jeffrey Archer, TV’s Ant Middleton, Paralympian Sammi Kinghorn, TV presenter Clare Balding and former Leicester Tigers player Leon Lloyd.
A Business Club membership includes:
- One place at each of the four seasonal events (two virtual events and two lunch events)
- Two-course meal for each lunch event
- Networking opportunities at every event
- A listing on Leicester Tigers’ Business Club event page on LeicesterTigers.com
- Priority booking for other club events
Prices start from £100pp excluding VAT to attend 2021's three events and include guaranteeing your spot at every Business Club event throughout the 2020/21 campaign.
