Friday night rugby returns to Welford Road this week when Leicester Tigers host Sale Sharks in the EDF Energy Cup (7.40pm kick-off).

If you play rugby for your local club on Saturdays or have other weekend commitments, then this week provides the perfect opportunity to support Tigers and share in the Welford Road experience.

A Tigers victory would guarantee qualification for the semi-final of the EDF Energy Cup for a third successive year, though Sharks could also reach the last four if they win at Welford Road, so an exciting encounter is in prospect.

“I give the same importance to every game we play and we obviously want to win,” said Tigers head coach Marcelo Loffreda whose side have won each of their last two games.

“We have to take this as a massive game, we have to maintain momentum and we have to keep improving.”
