Gloucester Rugby have confirmed the signing of fly-half Owen Williams for next season.

Williams joined Tigers from the Scarlets in 2013 and has made 82 appearances for the club, scoring 578 points.

He will move to Kingsholm in the summer and join Billy Burns as options for for the No10 shirt, following the summer departures of Greig Laidlaw and James Hook.

"I'm delighted that Owen will be joining Gloucester at the end of the season and I'm sure the supporters will look forward to his competition with Billy Burns for the fly-half starting spot,” said Gloucester director of rugby David Humphreys.

"He is still a young man with a real ambition to play international rugby and we all believe Owen has the ability to play a central role in driving Gloucester forward.”

Williams said: “I am really looking forward to joining Gloucester next season and facing new challenges in my rugby career. I would like to thank everyone at Leicester Tigers, including the fans, for the great memories and support they have given me and I am fully committed to them until the end of the season."
