Hooker Darren Dawiduik will make his first Guinness Premiership start for Gloucester Rugby against Leicester Tigers at Kingsholm on Friday.

All Blacks prop Greg Somerville, lock Will James and back-rower Jake Boer return to the pack after sitting out the cup tie against London Wasps last weekend, while James Simpson-Daniel, Lesley Vainikolo, Nicky Robinson, Dave Lewis and former Nottingham centre Tim Molenaar reclaim their places in the backline.

Dawiduik, who will be supported by the experienced prop pairing of Greg Somerville and Nick Wood, gets his opportunity with Scott Lawson called up by Scotland A.

Lawson, Alasdair Strokosch, Akapusi Qera, Apo Satala and Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu are away on international duty, but prop Paul Doran-Jones is included in the 23 after gaining his first senior England cap last weekend. Former Wales international back row Nathan Thomas is named on the bench after signing for the Cherry and Whites this week.
