Goldsmiths Player of the Month voting open

Tom Croft, Louis Deacon and Alesana Tuilagi have been nominated for the Goldsmiths Player of the Month Award for December.

Tigers fans can vote for their winner now by visiting the Goldsmiths website at http://www.goldsmiths.co.uk/tigers

Croft has been in lung-busting form over the last month, getting through huge amounts of work in defence and attack. The England international provides an attacking threat at the lineout while his athleticism gives opponents plenty to think about on their own ball.

Deacon’s return to the Tigers engine room following the World Cup has been a key to the team’s record of just one defeat in their last nine fixtures. The England international gets through his fair share of work in the loose and comes into his own in the set-piece and in the dark recesses.

Tuilagi scored the match-winning try in victory at Kingsholm. He has been a key member of the side as Tigers maintained their challenge in Aviva Premiership Rugby and the Heineken Cup, and a physical threat that opposing defences genuinely fear.

The Tigers player of the month award is supported by Goldsmiths, the largest prestige and luxury jewellers in the UK. Goldsmiths are also official East Stand sponsors at Welford Road and official timekeepers.

Horacio Agulla won the vote for November’s award. The Argentina international is pictured above receiving his Tag Heuer Aquaracer watch from Ruth Benford, marketing and communications director at Aurum Holdings.

Agulla said: “It was really nice to get the award. I play as hard as I can, and to have the support of the fans is nice because I must be doing something right.

“It makes me feel really good and work harder because I don't want to disappoint them.”

Billy Twelvetrees and Geoff Parling are also previous winners of the Goldsmiths Player of the Month award this season.
