Vereniki Goneva has won the first Goldsmiths Player of the Month award of the season.
Goneva, who moved to Welford Road in the summer from French side Tarbes, picked up the supporters’ vote after an impressive start to his Tigers career.

The Fiji international has started every game so far this season for Tigers and scored a try in each of his first two Aviva Premiership games for the club. He has also impressed with his defensive and breakdown work.
He was presented with a Tag Heuer watch by Steve Sargent, Aurum Holdings finance director, and Steve’s wife Rosemary after Sunday's Heineken Cup victory over Ospreys at Welford Road.
The Tigers player of the month award is supported by Goldsmiths, the largest prestige and luxury jewellers in the UK, who are also official East Stand sponsors and official timekeepers.
