Gray starts at No.10 for Bristol

Fly-half Danny Gray is recalled to the Bristol Rugby line-up for the Guinness Premiership semi-final against Leicester Tigers on Saturday.

Gray, who scored 20 points in the league win over Tigers a fortnight ago, is set to join Exeter Chiefs at the end of the season but gets the nod over David Hill who only returned from a 10-week injury absence last weekend.

It is one of three changes to the starting XV, with centre Brian Lima ruled out by a calf injury and Andrew Blowers sidelined after tweaking a medial ligament in his knee.

Nathan Budgett comes in on the blindside to replace Blowers as Alfie To'oala moves across to No.8. Budgett's promotion from the bench means a return to the squad for Bristol stalwart Craig Short who hangs up his boots at the end of the season.

Coach Richard Hill said: "We have a great opportunity to get to a marvellous occasion, a final at Twickenham. By the time the game comes, our players will believe 100 per cent they can win at Welford Road. Everyone knows that strange things can happen to teams in cup games. The unexpected has been known to happen, and people can win matches against the odds."
