Leicester Tigers are delighted to welcome servicemen and women to Welford Road for Friday's Champions Cup opener as Tickets For Troops celebrates its sixth birthday. The charity was set up in November 2009 and has distributed more than 800,000 free tickets to people serving in the country’s Armed Forces.
Tigers donate tickets to every home game, including this Friday’s game against defending Top 14 champions Stade Francais, and have shared in some huge Welford Road occasions.
Rob Lupton, of Tickets for Troops, said: “Thank you for playing a huge part in the last six years since Tickets For Troops began in November 2009.
“You have helped us create thousands of memorable experiences, bringing families and friends together and providing opportunities for our hard-working troops to relax and enjoy magnificent events across the UK.
