Tigers scrum-half Harry Ellis had a successful operation on his knee on Tuesday, May 22 and is now beginning his road to recovery.

Ellis missed the final two games of the season after injuring his knee in the Guinness Premiership semi-final against Bristol Rugby at Welford Road on May 5.

"Harry had his ACL reconstruction on his knee on the Tuesday after the Heineken Cup Final and things have gone very well and according to plan," said Tigers club doctor Mukul Agarwal.

"We'd been working hard with him to settle the knee down before the op to ensure we got the best results from it and we'll now be monitoring his rehab over the coming weeks."
