Heineken Cup half-time

Leicester Tigers trailed Bath Rugby 7-6 at half-time of today's Heineken Cup quarter-final at the Walkers Stadium.

Fly-half Sam Vesty had kicked Tigers into a 6-0 lead with two penalties inside two minutes midway through the half.

However, Bath went in ahead at the break after scoring the only try of the half after 36 minutes. Shontayne Hape’s dummy opened up the Tigers defence and replacement Shaun Berne was on his shoulder to finish next to the posts, with Butch James adding the extras.

Tigers were forced into a late change with Toby Flood missing out through injury. Vesty switched from centre to fly-half with Ayoola Erinle coming into the back line. The only other change from last week’s win against Sale Sharks was Martin Castrogiovanni’s arrival in the front row in place of the suspended Julian White. Full-back Geordan Murphy captained the team in the absence of the injured Martin Corry and Aaron Mauger. International forwards Jordan Crane and Craig Newby return from injury to claim a place among the replacements.

Bath recalled Michael Lipman, David Flatman, Peter Short and Michael Claassens to their starting XV.
