Tigers fans woke to a cool morning with low white cloud. Temperatures were expected to reach around 10C with light cloud by kick-off at 2.35pm local time/1.35pm UK time.
Supporters enjoyed the hospitality of Treviso on Friday night, including a large group from Vipers RFC in Whetstone. Other fans stayed at nearby Venice before heading into Treviso for the game.
And there were scores more fans travelling to Treviso on the day of the game, flying in from Stansted Airport.
Tigers go into the Heineken Cup clash against Benettton Treviso in second place in Pool 5, seven points behind Ulster Rugby.
Ulster maintained their 100 per cent winner record in this season’s competition with a 27-16 victory over Montpellier at Ravenhill on Friday night. Robbie Diack, Ruan Pienaar and John Afoa scored Ulster’s three tries as the Pro 12 side ensured they remained the only unbeaten team in this season’s competition. Montpellier replyed through Eric Escande’s try.
Victory at Stadio Monigo for Tigers would set up a winner-takes-all clash for a home quarter-final against Ulster at Welford Road next Saturday (6pm). Tigers will wear their black and carbon European kit.
