Help for Heroes

RAF aircrew set off from Welford Road on their bicycles this morning to deliver the match-ball for Leicester Tigers' Guinness Premiership game against Saracens on Sunday.

Squadron leader Nick Robson and his team from UK Joint Force Air Component based at RAF High Wycombe, are cycling nearly 100 miles from the home of Tigers to Saracens’ Vicarage Road ground for the Help for Heroes campaign.

The match-ball has recently returned from special trips to Afghanistan and Iraq and is now on the next leg of its journey to Watford for Sunday’s game.

Saracens are donating £1 from every ticket purchased for the match to Help for Heroes, a charity which helps and supports wounded soldiers.
