Tigers can confirm that fly-half Ian Humphreys will leave the club for his home province of Ulster at the end of the current season.

Humphreys joined Tigers from Belfast Harlequins in the summer of 2005 and currently has 26 first-team appearances and 172 points to his name, including a try and conversion in Tuesday night’s clash with Bath.

The 25-year-old, who captained Ireland at the Rugby World Cup Sevens in Hong Kong in 2005, represented his country at A level during 2007 as he helped Tigers reach all three domestic and European finals.

Humphreys will join up with the Ulster squad for pre-season training in June.
