Hurry - join the Tigers auction to aid relief effort

Leicester Tigers favourite Scott Hamilton says he is "thrilled" by the level of support for the merchandise auction in aid of earthquake relief funding in New Zealand.

New Zealanders Hamilton, Craig Newby and Thomas Waldrom are auctioning autographed Tigers shirts signed by their colleagues in aid of people affected by the Christchurch earthquake, as well as a collection of signed rugby boots including those of skipper Geordan Murphy, and internationals Marcos Ayerza, Anthony Allen and Jordan Crane.

There is still time to make a bid – but hurry as the auction closes this weekend.

Christchurch-born Hamilton said: “We’ve had great support already from everyone and that’s great to see. The auction page looks awesome on the website and there seems to be a lot of interest. It’s difficult when you’re this far away but we just wanted to do something and show that we were thinking of all those people back home.”

The items are being auctioned online through the Official Leicester Tigers eBay account. The auctions end on Sunday afternoon (February 27). To find out more, and to place your bid, click here
