Introducing | Evie Wills

The 2023/24 season promises to be incredibly exciting for innumerable reasons from a Leicester Tigers perspective. However, one of the few dark clouds in a bright blue sky has been an unfortunate long-term injury to Scottish International and new signing, Evie Wills.

The versatile back cruelly suffered a knee injury during training which has ruled her out of the Scotland squad for the upcoming WXV tournament and beyond. Tigers Women's lead physio Terri Denham will be working closely with Scotland Rugby to ensure Wills has a swift and successful recovery.

Prior to this, however, Wills was looking to play a key role in Tigers' maiden season in the Allianz Cup and Allianz Premiership Women's Rugby.

Able to slot in as effectively at fly-half as she is in the centres, Wills has valuable international experience across both the XV-a-side and Seven's game.

"The girls have been so lovely, very very welcoming. Showing me the ropes, how Tigers are doing things. It's about striking the balance with what I can bring to the squad whilst not uprooting what is already here".

See what Wills had to say in the full interview, as LTTV sits down to talk about the difference between 7's and XV a side, being vocal in matches and heavy Scottish accents.
