The next Luncheon Club event is being held in support of the Matt Hampson Trust, Hope Against Cancer and the Army Benevolent Fund on Friday, June 1 and non-members can book with Tigers Events for a cost of just £45 + vat per person.
Established for more than five years, the Luncheon Club allows members to meet and enjoy fascinating discussions with special guests at Welford Road, home of the Leicester Tigers.
In rugby, everyone knows the front-row boys tell the best tales, so we’ve assembled three genuine front-row legends for June 1.
We’ll be joined by:
Graham Price, a member of the famous Pontypool front row, a cornerstone of the all-conquering Wales team of the 1970s and a veteran of 12 Tests with the British & Irish Lions, who will reflect on a resurgence of the Welsh national team.
Peter Wheeler, one of the game’s greatest-ever hookers and story-tellers, will discuss the state of the of the game.
Brian Moore, a former England and Lions hooker, and a man well placed to discuss the modern game after commentating on the Six Nations Championship for BBC1.
With nearly 150 international caps and 24 appearances in Tests with the Lions between them this promises to be a great occasion.
The luncheon will run from 12-2.30pm and includes a two-course meal with tea/coffee and guests will be welcome to stay on and enjoy the National Corporate Sevens tournament taking place at Welford Road on the same day.
