The Maul, the Tigers' roadshow vehicle, will be part of an open morning at Kesteven RFC this weekend, which aims to get girls and boys playing rugby.

The Kesteven Rugby Mini and Junior Day opens at 10am and children can turn up to take part even if they have never picked up a rugby ball.

The non-contact taster session runs until midday and children can wear trainers or boots.

The roadshow team will have the Maul on site with the chance to take on the Ultimate Big Boot, the popular half-time competition on matchdays at Welford Road.

Supported by De Montfort University, the Ultimate Big Boot gives people the chance to test their skills under the high ball.

The Maul will also include the tackle bag and Speed Pass Challenge as well as the chance to capture your day in the photo booth.

Tigers have also donated to the grand raffle four tickets to the Aviva Premiership clash with Exeter Chiefs at Welford Road on Friday, March 3.

Other attractions are set to include a bungee run, gladiator game and a children’s assault course.

Food and drink will be available, and from 2pm England against Italy in the Six Nations will be screened in the clubhouse.
