Join Walk4Matt 2010 this weekend for an end-of-walk party and the final leg of the trek to Twickenham.

Walk4Matt set off on the 110 miles from Rugby to HQ last Saturday and will reach its destination before kick-off at this weekend’s Guinness Premiership Final between Leicester Tigers and Saracens.

The walkers and support boats will be at the Barmy Arms pub on the banks of the River Thames in Twickenham on Friday night for an end-of-walk party – and Tigers supporters are being invited.

The party starts from 6pm and a number of famous rugby names will be in attendance, including Tigers legend Graham Rowntree and the Guinness Premiership trophy. There will be also be a barbecue and DJ.

Walkers will then meet back at the Barmy Arms from 1pm on Saturday for the final leg of the trek when Walk4matt wristbands, T-shirts and polo shirts will be available.

The walk is raising money for the Matt Hampson Trust, SpecialEffect and the RPA Benevolent Fund. A team from Saracens are also taking part to raise money for Henry’s Trust, which supports Henry Fraser, a player in Saracens Academy who had an accident in July 2009 which damaged his spinal cord.

Organisers say Walk4Matt 2010 has already raised more money than last year’s event and are hoping to break £100,000.
