Leicester Tigers return to home turf for the Aviva Premiership Rugby Round 6 fixture against Harlequins this Friday - and the STIHL Oktoberfest at Welford Road.

Kick off is at 7.45pm and match tickets are still available from the Tigers ticket office.

The team line-ups are announced at noon on Thursday on the club website and social media channels.

Tigers are bringing a taste of Germany to Welford Road as hosts of the STIHL Oktoberfest this Friday.

A beer garden – with outdoor heaters – is being created on the plaza in front of the MET-Rx Stand with Leicestershire brewery Everards serving a guest ale to celebrate the occasion and there will be live music before and after the game from an oompah band. You can even drink out of limited edition Tigers and STIHL tankards on the plaza and in Final Whistle.

The Tigers roadshow vehicle, known as The Maul, hosts the Speed Pass Challenge and fan photobooth on the plaza too and Green Flag are staging their own interactive goal-kick game.

STIHL are staging a woodcarving demonstration and rugby-themed games too, and keep an eye out for their T-shirts being shot into the crowd ahead of kick-off.

At half-time we’ll announce the name of the winner of the STIHL competition with a prize of a trip for four to Oktoberfest 2015 in Munich worth £3,000. There is still time to enter – online entries are open at www.leicestertigers.com/oktoberfest until 5pm today (Thursday, October 9) or enter at the stadium on matchday.

Turnstiles and all bars and food kiosks at Welford Road open at 5.45pm and the Tigers Club Store is open all day with the full range of home and away kit, leisurewear and souvenirs. There are also extra merchandise units in the MET-Rx Stand after the turnstiles are opened.

For younger supporters, the Junior Tigers Club VIP area in the MET-Rx Stand is open from 5.45pm.

The team behind the new 500-page Official History of Leicester Tigers are in Final Whistle before and after the game and will be taking orders for the new book. Everyone who places an order before the October 15 launch will be entered into a prize draw to win an exclusive leather-bound edition signed by some of the past captains.

In the pages of the match programme we hear from team captain Ben Youngs, Matt Hampson’s new Heroes & Villains column with Tom Croft and Tom Youngs, Fanzone pages, previews of the new European Rugby Champions Cup and all the news from behind the scenes, fixtures and ticket information, and the Junior Tigers Club pages. The 100-page programme is on sale throughout the stadium, price £3.

Half-time entertainment this Friday is from Challenge Welford – when a young supporter goes head to head in a sporting contest with Welford the mascot – and the Big Boot with a cash jackpot of £1,200.

Arriva’s matchday bus services are in operation from Market Harborough, Oakham, Nuneaton, Market Bosworth and Melton Mowbray, all scheduled to arrive 30 minutes before kick-off. For details and this week’s timetable, click here. An additional minibus service from Coalville is bookable via the Tigers ticket office.

Book your match tickets at the Tigers ticket office, open 8.30am-5pm Thursday and from 8.30am on Friday. Call in at the ticket office or phone 0116 319 8888.

Or click here to book online any time.

All matchday ticket collections are from the Collection Point on the plaza outside the MET-Rx Stand, and not from the ticket office. Please allow plenty of time for ticket collections and to get to your places in the stadium ahead of kick-off.

Tigers are offering free upgrades on junior season tickets for the evening kick-off against Harlequins – and also Ulster in the European Rugby Champions Cup next Saturday.

If you hold season tickets for under-10s or juniors, or for children as part of a family season ticket, the club will exchange these for adult tickets free of charge so you can enjoy the matches with family and friends if these 7.45pm kick-offs is too late for younger members.

Please note that all upgrades will require the issue of a replacement paper ticket. Contact the ticket office now.

See you on Friday!
