More than 5,000 school children from across Leicester city took part in Author Week at Welford Road last week. 

The club held the ninth Author Week to be hosted at Welford Road, which are organised by Whatever It Takes - an initiative for Leicester city children aiming to encourage reading and writing for pleasure.

The event included a series of workshops and sessions led by published authors including John Dougherty, Andy Seed, Sarah McIntyre and Bali Rai to name just a few.

The team were also invited onto the BBC Radio Leicester Drive Time show to talk about the event held in the Premiership Suite in the Holland & Barrett Stand.
