The Land Rover Premiership Cup was held at Oakham RFC on Sunday with under-11s and under-12s teams from across the country taking part.
Solihull side Silhillians landed the under-11s title after beating a team from Caldy on the Wirrall in the final. It was the second time in as many seasons they have won a tournament hosted by Tigers after landing last year’s Prima Tiger Cup at Welford Road.
In the under-12s competition, Leicestershire side Hinckley celebrated success after beating Newark in the final.
Scott Clarke, Tigers community manager, said: “It was a really enjoyable day with some great games of rugby played in a fantastic spirit.
“Hundreds of players, their parents and spectators enjoyed the weather, the excellent hospitality of Oakham RFC and some brilliant rugby.
“Congratulations to the winners Silhillians and Hinckley, and to all of the teams that took part.”
Hinckley and Silhillians will now enjoy a day out at the Aviva Premiership Final at Twickenham on Saturday, May 28 as reward for their success.
They will represent the Tigers’ region in a “Parade of Champions” in front of an anticipated 81,000-strong sell-out crowd at the home of English rugby.
