Louis Deacon admits it was a difficult decision but the correct one to call time on his rugby career.Leicester Tigers and England lock Deacon announced his retirement on Tuesday after 274 appearances for his home-town club and 29 Test caps.
He spoke to LTTV about his decision to retire, his career with Tigers and England, and about his plans for the future. Click here to watch the interview.
“At the time it was quite a difficult decision but it’s the right one,” says Deacon. “My whole career has been a highlight because every game you play for the club is special.
“I only ever wanted to play one game for the club so to play that many is special.”
