Welford Road will once again be the venue for the rugby union leg of the annual Varsity fixture between De Montfort University and University of Leicester rugby teams later this March.
Both the men’s and women’s teams will have the opportunity to play out their respective fixture on the famous Welford Road pitch on Thursday, March 19, 2020.
The University of Leicester have held the bragging rights in recent years, with last year seeing the university do the double over their DMU counterparts.
The evening, which sees thousands of students make the trip to support their teams, will kick off with the women’s fixture at 6.00pm, before the men’s game at 8.00pm. Gates open from 5.30pm.
Tickets cost £6 in advance or £8 on the night and can be purchased by contacting the Tigers ticket office on 0116 319 8888 (option 2) or directly through the universities.
Each match ticket is valid for both the fixtures, with seating in the Holland & Barrett Stand and food and drink available.
