Leicester Tigers front-rower Dan Richardson will join Coventry Rugby on loan.

The loosehead prop joined Tigers from Championship club Jersey Reds during the summer, featuring in the win over his former club in the first pre-season fixture of the 21/22 season.

Richardson made an appearance for Coventry in the final pre-season match ahead of the new Championship campaign.

Speaking about the opportunity for Richardson, Leicester Tigers Head Coach Steve Borthwick said: “We want to ensure we have players playing rugby, which this opportunity provides Dan at Coventry in the opening weeks of the season.

“Dan has worked hard since arriving at Leicester Tigers and shown improvement throughout the pre-season phase and this opportunity is another important element of his development.

“I am certain he will represent Leicester Tigers in a way supporters will be proud of while with the Championship club.”

Richardson joins Coventry effective immediately.
