Lutterworth Rugby Club hosted the third leg of the Prima Tiger Cup festivals on Sunday with teams from 20 clubs involved.Supported by Prima Solutions of Loughborough, the Prima Tiger Cup is a free-to-enter tournament for under-10s teams now into its 22nd year.
Teams representing Ampthill, Barker Butts, Broadstreet, Buckingham, Caldy, Coalville, Jersey, Leicester Forest, Lincoln, Loughborough, Lutterworth, Market Harborough, Melbourne, Moortown, Old Leamingtonians, South Leicester, Stoneygate, Towcestrians, Vipers and Wortley took part on Sunday.
The teams at Lutterworth were also joined by Leicester Tigers and Argentina winger Gonzalo Camacho who watched the games and cheered on the young players before joining them for team photos.
Market Harborough and Towcestrians have been invited back to play in the Prima Tiger Cup qualifiers, while Loughborough and Jersey will take part in the Prima Tiger Bowl qualifiers, both to be played at Welford Road on the same day as a Tigers first-team game later in the season.
The Prima tournament features five qualifying festivals around the Tigers region with the fourth event scheduled for this Sunday (November 8) at Mellish RFC. The last festival is based at Newmarket RFC on Sunday, November 15.
