Representatives from Macmillan Cancer Support, one of the club's official charities for the new season, will be among our special guests at Tigers In The Park on the opening day of the new season.

Macmillan will be bringing their information bus to Tigers In The Park, mascot Muggy will be joining us and there will be a collection during the day to aid their work with families affected by cancer.

The aim of Macmillan Cancer Support is to improve the lives of everyone living with cancer and to inspire millions of others to do the same. Macmillan are here to support people from the moment they’re diagnosed, through treatment and beyond.

The number of people living with cancer in the UK is estimated to double to four million in 15 years and this means services need to change to support people’s needs. The challenge is a big one and Macmillan cannot do it without support.

For further information visit www.macmillan.org.uk. You can also show your support with a donation via https://www.justgiving.com/Tigers-Family/

Welford Road will also host a Macmillan Coffee Morning in the autumn (September 26) and more information will be available at Tigers In The Park.
