Tigers' new head coach Marcelo Loffreda saw his side lose 22-9 to Leinster in Dublin on Saturday afternoon but the Argentine is confident that they can bounce back against Edinburgh next weekend.
“Of course, it’s not a good beginning but I am confident that we will improve,” said Loffreda. “I think that the Leicester players gave what they could and they tried to give their all. I am proud of that. I’m really glad to be here with the team.

“We will have to work very hard next week. We have to get better and better, and next week we will work on the errors we made today.”
Loffreda praised Tigers’ Irish opponents for their defensive efforts as they kept Leicester try-less despite facing a barrage of attacks in both halves.
“We had a lot of pressure but Leinster played very well. They were very efficient when we had the ball. We were not so bright in the first-half and we didn’t use the wind as well as we should have. Leinster did that quite well in the second half and I think that was a big difference.
“We got a bit repetitive in our game so we maybe have to change some things for next week. I know the spirit of the players, I know their attitude and I know they will react.”
