The Tigers Academy defeated Gloucester 34-31 at Allianz Park on Sunday, February 17 to win the U18 League Grand Final for a second successive season.

Leicester took a 24-0 lead in to the break after a quick-fire first-half with the wind at their backs, before the young Lions used the conditions to their benefit in the opening quarter of the second-half to claw themselves back in to the contest and make for a nervous final five minutes with three points just the difference.

Tigers inside-centre Sam Costelow, who recently made his Wales U20s debut in the Six Nations, contributed 19 points of his own including the first try and 6/7 attempts from goal, while the remainder of Leicester's points came through tries for Joe Browning (2) and Archive Vanes.
