Supported by the Mark Group, Tigers host the Coaching Clinics on the day of every home game and welcome young players who want to develop their skills, together with decision-making and game-play alongside our best Academy and Community department coaches.
Coaching Clinics are based at the club’s Oval Park training ground and at Queen Elizabeth I Wyggeston College on Welford Road, with all groups coming to join us afterwards for a first-team game at Welford Road.
The coaching team can tailor sessions to suit your group’s needs in consultation with your own coaches, and you’ll have the opportunity to put your own questions to a member of the Tigers playing squad as part of your day.
As if that wasn’t enough, you’ll also enjoy a day out at Welford Road, the ‘Rugby Venue of the Year 2012’, and have the chance to see stars like Toby Flood, Manu Tuilagi and Dan Cole in action before having your own team photo on the pitch at half-time.
Tigers Community manager Scott Clarke has seen the programme grow and grow in recent years and said: “Matchday Clinics provide a great opportunity for players to learn and develop their game with our coaches alongside their team-mates, as well as sharing in a great matchday experience at Welford Road.
“Our sessions complement the work that teams do in their own training and we hope they help to bring out the potential in every player.
“The priority is always for young players to enjoy their rugby while also finding ways to improve and develop with us.”
Tigers have welcomed more than 10,000 players to Mark Group Matchday Coaching Clinics during the last three years and places are always in high demand.
We’ve had record numbers taking part this season and places are already limited for the weekends of our remaining home fixtures.
